When we support the health and well-being of women and children in our community, we’re not just making a difference for them—we’re building a stronger, healthier, and more caring community for us all. That’s why Warren Insurance Group is honored to announce the Women’s Giving Circle of Cumberland County (WGCCC) as the latest beneficiary of our Community Cause campaign.
Amazing things happen when women come together. With the spirit of “girl power” and queens supporting queens, women are not only natural caregivers and nurturers but also incredible leaders and advocates for change. WGCCC exemplifies this by driving positive, lasting impact through focused grant-making and initiatives aimed at addressing critical issues in Cumberland County.
The WGCCC Scorecard highlights urgent challenges in our community:
1 in 6 people experience hunger in Southeast North Carolina; 1 in 4 of these are children.
42.9% of single mothers in Cumberland County live in poverty.
Childcare availability has decreased by more than 44% since 2005.
Cumberland County ranks 52 out of 100 NC counties for overall health.
38% of adults in Cumberland County are considered obese.
Over 5,800 children faced investigations for abuse or neglect in 2021-2022.
Only 51 foster families are available for Cumberland County children, forcing many to be placed out of the county.
The need is urgent. WGCCC has spent 15 years making a difference through grants to local nonprofits. Now, you can join this effort. For every referral received, Warren Insurance Group will donate $10 to support WGCCC’s invaluable work.
Together, let’s channel the power of community and solidarity. Refer a family member or friend today and help us make a lasting impact in our community.
